Please note, this map shows the locations and routes to the 2 main ingress/egresses and the emergency only egress. This does not show evacuation routes, as the location of a fire can cut any one of them off. Please take the time PRIOR to an emergency and drive yourself using the various routes to get out. During an evacuation, it is hectic and often very low visibility. That is why you need to be PROACTIVE and familiarize yourself with them NOW.
And, while I’m at it—get a reflective address sign posted at the road end of your driveway. It may mean the difference between life and death. In a medical emergency, minutes count. You don’t want the first responders driving past your house and having to turn around and go back. (Available at the Florissant Fire Department: $15 one sided and $20 two sided)

From The Board |

Please note that it is the property/homeowner's responsibility to clean out their blocked Culvert or to have them cleaned out. Keep them clear so that water can flow through them and not cause ditches and gullies to form in the road.
Please note that wells are for household use only. Do not water your lawn, trees, wash your car, fill/top off your hot tub or power wash. We have been informed that a few wells have run dry and we are trying to prevent this from happening to you.

Light Pollution |
|
Please be considerate to your neighbors by reducing light pollution. There are a lot of bright lights staying on all night on CME properties which is disruptive to neighbors and wildlife. Please consider using light timers and/or motion sensors for your outside lights to keep our skies dark and clear, and cheaper electric bills. Many people move to the mountains to escape light pollution, and Florissant Fossil Beds is a certified International Dark Sky Park that requires annual recertification based on low light pollution. As the nearest subdivision to the Fossil Beds, we want to be good neighbors to preserve Dark Skies for all to enjoy. |
Owner Profile |
Please be sure to fill out your owner profile and periodically update it any time you have changes. |
Fire Safety is Top Priority For CMEPOA |
Fire Safety is a top priority for Colorado Mountain Estates; however, it takes the entire community to accomplish this. Most of us know what the Home Ignition Zone is, but there is more involved than just that. more>>> |

The Homeowners’ Association Task Force has been created by HB23-1105 with its members to be appointed by August 1, 2023.
